MecKidz Wants to Partner With You, Parent!

We work hard to make MecKidz fun, because we believe that church should never be boring! Each week, we see kids racing into their classrooms, with parents barely keeping up with their child's excitement and that is when we get to say "mission accomplished!" Then comes the partnership with the parents...

Your kids love MecKidz!  At least, we pray and work towards that statement being 100% true! We love seeing kids racing to MecKidz, outpacing their parents on Sunday mornings. Whether your kids are attending in person or online, we want that time to be the best part of their week. But, MecKidz is more than just a Sunday morning service. Because a relationship with God goes well beyond one day of the week. 

Partnering with you to help lead your children towards a deeper understanding of God and developing a relationship with Him goes well beyond Sunday mornings.

Learn about God.

Children must know about God and understand what His guidelines are for living the best life possible before they can actually get to know Him personally. Here’s how to make the most of learning about God from MecKidz:

For Preschool Kids - Found on Meck's website or the Meck App

• Preschool Parent Home Guide - Monthly take-home application.
• Preschool Memory Verse - Monthly memory challenge.
• The Grounds Bookstore and Cafe - Resources created for preschoolers!

For Elementary Kids - Found on Meck's website or the Meck App

• Elementary Online - Weekly online service for preschool students.
• Foundations for Kids - Monthly memory challenge.
• MecKidz YouTube Channel - Kids can watch their favorite videos over and over!
• The Grounds Bookstore and Cafe - Resources created for elementary age kids!

Know and love God personally.

Though it is God Himself who changes hearts and draws people to Him, we can still play a role in helping children know and love God. By modeling what a relationship with God looks like (however imperfect it might be), praying with them, reading the Bible together, and exposing them to a Christian community at MecKidz that shares life with them, we can give kids a glimpse of how life with God is so much better than life apart from Him. Here are some other ways you can make the most out of MecKidz at home:

• Preschool Sing Song Prayers - Songs to help your preschooler learn to pray.
• Connecting With God: Midweek Devotion Videos - These videos explain how the Bible connects to your child's life!
• MecKidz In-Person service - Prioritize attending the same service time so that your child has a deeper relationship with their small group leader and other children as well.
• Baptism Orientation Class - Help your child learn what it means to be baptized. 
• MecKidz Events - These are designed to be engaging and fun for your kids to grow in their faith!

Serve God and serve others.

Helping kids believe they can make a big difference in the lives of others cultivates a sense of purpose in them. It turns their focus away from themselves and fosters having empathy towards others in need. And that’s the Jesus way. Here’s how to make the most of MecKidz through service:

• Serving in MecKidz - Serve with a parent as a MecKidz Junior Helper.

We know parenting is hard! That’s why we are here to help. We are continually exploring ways to encourage you with resources, classes, fun activities to do with your kids and pastoral support.  Here’s how to make the most of MecKidz:
