School can feel long for kids. And as a place where they want to show their best parts, they may be holding in some emotions all day that explode on you when you pick them up. Here's how we suggest trying to alleviate all the stress your child is carrying.
School is back. How is your child feeling? Excited, anxious, stressed, insecure, happy?
Feelings can be all over the map! This is a great time of the year to memorize a Bible verse that can speak God’s Words straight into your child’s heart and mind. As they go through their day, they are never separated from God’s Word. Take a look at these verses and pick one that best matches your kid’s needs.
“Turn all your worries over to him. He cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7
“Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Give thanks no matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
“So do not be afraid. I am with you. Do not be terrified. I am your God. I will make you strong and help you. I will hold you safe in my hands. I always do what is right.” Isaiah 41:10
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young. Set an example for the believers in what you say and in how you live. Also set an example in how you love and in what you believe. Show the believers how to be pure.” 1 Timothy 4:12
“We are God’s creation. He created us to belong to Christ Jesus. Now we can do good works. Long ago God prepared these works for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
“Walk with wise people and become wise. A companion of foolish people suffers harm.” Proverbs 13:20
“You are tempted in the same way all other human beings are. God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted any more than you can take. But when you are tempted, God will give you a way out. Then you will be able to deal with it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
“So you must go and make disciples of all nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And you can be sure that I am always with you, to the very end.” Matthew 28:19-20
“Always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks you about the hope you have. Be ready to give the reason for it. But do it gently and with respect.” 1 Peter 3:15
One of the best gifts you can give your child, as they begin the school year, is to fill their heart and mind with God’s word. This is a great way to start!
