MecKidz

Choose to have fun

MecKidz is where your child will engage through games, music, dance, challenges and more. We believe church should NEVER be boring! Your kids will laugh, play and have a blast while we partner with you, their parents, to lead them to know love and serve Jesus. You can join us online or in person. Either way, your kids will love it!

Serve Opportunities

Join the fun!

Every week volunteers communicate in large groups, help with check-in, lead small groups, help prepare for the weekend, serve with the tech team and dress up as our lovable mascot.

Whether you prefer to lead a small group, communicate to an entire room of kids, or anything in between, this is for you!

By learning and performing the Large Group Treehouse, or Storytime script, the Preschool and Elementary Communicators teach the Bible to kids in MecKidz in a way that captivates and excites them. Preschool and Elementary Small Group Leaders have the fun of building relationships with preschoolers and their families through games, crafts and Bible verse memorization.

Our Nursery Caregivers lay the foundation of trust by giving an infant or toddler a positive first experience with church and ultimately with Jesus. They also get to build relationships with the children and their families.

Our One-on-One Buddies build relationships with children with special needs and their families.

There are an abundance of administrative role to make MecKidz run smoothly both in the week and on the weekends. The opportunities for serving with MecKidz are endless. Below are just a few examples of the roles,

Check-In Team: With smiling faces, our Check-In Team volunteers welcome families and assist them through the check-in process.

Sessions Coordinator: The Sessions Coordinators assist staff leaders with the behind-the-scenes administrative work on the weekend such as checking in volunteers, counting students, and setting up the classrooms.

Letter Writer: Write and/or decorate letters for kids in MecKidz.

Special Projects: Weekday volunteers provide assistance with administrative responsibilities and special projects like stuffing bags, preparing crafts, organizing supplies, etc.

Set-Up Team: The Weekday Set-Up Team assists staff in setting up the classrooms for the weekend program.

Whether you’re interested in helping with social media, writing and maintaining online resources, helping with set design, participating in the weekly online experience, engaging with parents in the Online Campus chatroom, or being part of the team that captures and edits it all, we have opportunities for you!

Teach an in-person class to a group of kids using an already developed curriculum. Each class runs for 3 consecutive days during the summer months, Monday - Wednesday, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Our beloved mascots welcome children by giving hugs, high fives and fist bumps.

Set up and implement special events at Meck. Special events may include the Meck Fall Trail, MecKidz Family Serve Day, Summer Color Run, Family Night, Baby Dedication, etc.

Crew: The Crew team of middle and high school students learns and performs worship dances to assist children in their worship experience during the Large Group portion of the MecKidz program.

Student Assistants: Middle and high school student assistants get to build relationships with children by playing games, doing crafts and being fun. They also encourage children to engage in the MecKidz lessons and learn the Bible.

Tech: The Tech Team ensures that the MecKidz weekend Large Group experience runs smoothly on a technical level.
