Jamaica Global Extension Trip

For more than a decade, Meck has been sending teams in partnership with Won By One to Jamaica in order to serve the community of Harmons, Jamaica. Won by One to Jamaica’s mission is to empower lives and show the love of Jesus by providing educational opportunities, discipleship, and economic development within the community. 

The main purpose of this trip is to connect and build relationships with the people of Harmons and to help encourage and empower them spiritually and physically. Teams from Meck participate in a variety of outreach efforts including working alongside Jamaican staff to help build houses for those who are homeless, taking “faith walks'' through the community of Harmons to share the gospel and encourage people, working alongside the kids in school to help them learn and stay motivated, and more. 

So many have attended this trip again and again because the lifestyle and atmosphere of Harmons, Jamaica is so contagious. Teams stay in the Harmony House, which is in the center of the community of Harmons. It is a very safe environment and place to stay.

WHO CAN ATTEND: Minimum age for attending this trip is 13. 

IMMUNIZATIONS: Up-to-date Tetanus required. Hepatitis A/B and Typhoid are recommended.

TRIP DATES: July 6 - 13, 2024

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
$100 - due by January 31 (Managed Missions opens on January 1, 2024 to make payments)
$900 - due by March 31 (to ticket the flights)
$900 - due by May 31 (remaining balance)
