What to Expect

this weekend in MecKidz

Your questions answered...

What do we do if it's my child's first time to Meck?

Arrive 10-15 minutes before service time and come see us at MecKidz First-Time Guest Check-in. (Don't be afraid to ask someone to point you in the right direction!) Once you get there, our amazing volunteers will help you check in, fill you in on why MecKidz is so great, and direct you and your child to the appropriate classrooms. We'll collect a little bit of information from you when you get here, or you can go ahead and fill this out and bring it with you!

What security measures are in place?

Each child receives a security number that is unique to them. This number is used to identify your child, notify you of any needs your child may have during service, and for pick-up when it's time to go. Volunteers go through training and an intensive screening before allowed in classrooms. Emergency medical personnel are available during weekend services, and we also request that children don't attend MecKidz if they've exhibited signs of illness in the last 24 hours.

What are the classrooms like?

Classrooms are broken up by age groups and made to be age appropriate. We have child-to-adult ratios that we maintain and in order to create a safe environment for your child.

What happens in MecKidz?

The most fun that your child will have all week! In our nursery,we prioritize safety and teach them about God's creation. We let our preschool children gets their wiggles out as they learn that God made them, God loves them and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. For elementary ages the Bible is brought to life through games, high-energy music and creative communicators.

Are there any programs for my child with special needs?

Every child matters to God and every child matters to us in MecKidz. Therefore, we offer a 1on1 buddy program called Inclusion for kids with special needs.
