World Vision

Yearly on January 01 Zambia

Since 2003, the Meck community has sponsored over 500 hundred orphans and vulnerable children in the community of Kapululwe, Zambia. The families of Kapululwe are chronically poor, subsistence farmers. Adding to this hardship, the HIV/AIDS pandemic is wiping out a generation of caregivers and income-providers. Because of our support, the development project in Kapululwe has reached a point of self-sustainability and could not have done this without Meck!

Your ongoing sponsorship provides:

*Access to nutritious food, health care and clean water
*Trained volunteers to monitor children's emotional, physical, and spiritual care and to care for sick or dying parents
*Counselors to provide direction and guidance to young people who are making critical life choices
*Age appropriate, biblically-based education and practical life skills training
*School fees, uniforms and supplies so children can stay in school

Additionally, the sponsors are encouraged to write to and pray for their sponsored children. This lifts both the sponsor and the child emotionally and spiritually.

There are new children in Kapululwe who are in need of sponsorship. If you would like to sponsor a child through World Vision, click here to be redirected to their sponsorship page and please search for children in Meck's area of support.

And finally, you can even plan a trip with World Vision to visit your sponsored child for a life-changing adventure neither of you will forget. Please note that due to the time involved, we need to begin planning a visit at least three months in advance of your proposed visit date. Find out more at
