Children's Hope Alliance Serve Day
Tue, Oct 27, 2015
5:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Campus: Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake, North Charlotte
156 Frazier Loop Statesville, NC 28677

Children's Hope Alliance (Barium Springs) is an organization committed to providing a "Safe Home" for children through group homes, therapeutic foster care and adoption programs. They strive to provide healing for individuals that are troubled, abused or neglected through educational, prevention and developmental programs.

It is through these group homes that Meck is able to serve by taking one evening a month to provide dinner for the children staying there. This affords the room parents a break from the cooking for the night, and allows us to show these kids that people in their community care about them.

Please join us on Tuesday, October 27 from 5:15 - 7:30 p.m. to participate in this serve day. If this is your first time serving with this organization, you will be contacted by one of our team leaders who will review some of the specifics related to serving with Children's Hope Alliance.

The address and contact information for Children's Hope Alliance is:

156 Frazier Loop
Statesville, NC 28677
704.872.4157

All groups will check in at the Administration Building first to sign a confidentiality statement.

The minimum age for serving with Children's Hope Alliance is 18 years old. We must limit this serve day to no more than 12 people.

Join us on Saturday, November 7 from 9:15 - 10:30 a.m. helping to serve at this home and to begin building amazing relationships with both the residents and other people from Meck!

New Testament Overview
Tue, November 10, 2015
7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

The New Testament comes with its own set of questions. Why are there four biographical accounts of the life of Jesus, rather than just one? And do all these letters that were written to people in the early church have anything to do with me? And what in the world is going on in Revelation? In New Testament Overview, we explore these questions and more as we walk through the second half of the Bible.

Instructor: Terry Bygate

Date: Every Tuesday from November 10 to December 1
