Whether you are a book-lover at heart or just looking for another way to connect deeper with God, The Grounds' Book Clubs provide you with a place to dig deep into faith-based books, meet others and grow spiritually.

The Tuesday group meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 7:15-8:15 p.m. in the Twos Room.

July book (to be discussed at the July 19th meeting): "Radical Together" - David Platt

"Take the next step. From radical followers of Christ to radical communities of faith.

In 'Radical', David Platt’s plea for Christians to take back their faith from the American Dream resonated with readers everywhere, and the book quickly became a New York Times bestseller. Now in 'Radical Together', the author broadens his call, challenging us to unite around a gospel-centered vision.

How, he asks, might such a vision reshape our priorities as the body of Christ? How might well-intentioned Christians actually prevent God’s people from accomplishing God’s purpose? And, how can we best unleash the people of God in the church to carry out the purpose of God in the world?

Writing to everyone who desires to make an impact for God’s glory—whether you are an involved member, a leader, or a pastor—Dr. Platt shares six foundational ideas that fuel radical obedience among Christians in the church. With compelling Bible teaching and inspiring stories from around the world, he will help you apply the revolutionary claims and commands of Christ to your community of faith in fresh, practical ways.

Campus: Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake, North Charlotte
156 Frazier Loop Statesville, NC 28677

Children's Hope Alliance (Barium Springs) is an organization committed to providing a "Safe Home" for children through group homes, therapeutic foster care and adoption programs. They strive to provide healing for individuals that are troubled, abused or neglected through educational, prevention and developmental programs.

It is through these group homes that Meck is able to serve by taking one evening a month to provide dinner for the children staying there. This affords the room parents a break from the cooking for the night, and allows Meck to show these kids that people in their community care about them.

Please join us on Tuesday, August 23 from 5 - 7:30 p.m. to participate in this serve day. If this is your first time serving with this organization, you will be contacted by one of our team leaders who will review some of the specifics related to serving with Children's Hope Alliance.

The address and contact information for Children's Hope Alliance is:

156 Frazier Loop
Statesville, NC 28677
704.872.4157
