Join us on Saturday, June 6 from 9:15 - 10:30 a.m. helping to serve at this home and to begin building amazing relationships with both the residents and other people from Meck!

Children's Hope Alliance Serve Day
Tue, July 21, 2015
5:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Campus: Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake, North Charlotte
156 Frazier Loop Statesville, NC 28677

Children's Hope Alliance (Barium Springs) is an organization committed to providing a "Safe Home" for children through group homes, therapeutic foster care and adoption programs. They strive to provide healing for individuals that are troubled, abused or neglected through educational, prevention and developmental programs.

It is through these group homes that Meck is able to serve by taking one evening a month to provide dinner for the children staying there. This affords the room parents a break from the cooking for the night, and allows us to show these kids that people in their community care about them.

Please join us on Tuesday, July 21 from 5:15 - 7:30 p.m. to participate in this serve day. If this is your first time serving with this organization, you will be contacted by one of our team leaders who will review some of the specifics related to serving with Children's Hope Alliance.

The address and contact information for Children's Hope Alliance is:

156 Frazier Loop
Statesville, NC 28677
704.872.4157

All groups will check in at the Administration Building first to sign a confidentiality statement.

MAX-Out Mission Week 2015
Tue, July 21, 2015 - Thu, July 23, 2015
Campus: North Charlotte

We would love for you to join us for this year's MAX-Out Mission Week 2015, an extreme three-day event where students come together to share the love of Jesus with the Charlotte area community through acts of service. Each day, teams of students will spread out all over our city to take part in two different service projects. This is an amazing opportunity to not only learn about following God's call to love and serve others but to see the difference that can be made in just three days.

During the MAX-Out Mission Week we will flood social media with the stories of all the amazing things our students are doing to serve. We'll also provide the contact info for our mission partners each day so that you can continue to serve as a family because we know that this week will make such an impact on the students. This will be one of the best experiences your student has this summer. You don't want to miss it!

Who: All middle school students (rising 7th-9th grade)

When: Tuesday, July 21 - Thursday, July 23
Each day from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Where: Meet each morning at The Grounds at Meck's North Charlotte Campus

Cost: $50 (includes t-shirt, bandana, lunch on Wednesday)

Students are encouraged to eat breakfast before they arrive.
For lunch, bring money on Tuesday, pizza will be provided on Wednesday, and students will bring a bag lunch on Thursday.

Parents, we need your help chaperoning and driving for this event. This year we are renting 15 passenger vans. We will need help driving, documenting the day, working with our students while making sure our students have fun, work hard and are safe. You can volunteer for morning sessions (9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.), afternoon sessions (1:30 - 5:00 p.m.), or all day (9 a.m. - 5 p.m.). If you are able to help, fill out your available times (days/mornings or afternoons) when registering.
