Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, the group meets to discuss books that are either faith-based or full of biblical principles. We participate in fun activities to bring the lessons to life and give the children the opportunity to share their thoughts with others.

Behold the Lamb of God Concert

Get singing Christmas trees and “jingle bells" out of your head - this is not your typical Christmas concert.

Barium Springs Serve Day

Barium Springs Home for Children is an organization committed to providing a "Safe Home" for children through group homes, therapeutic foster care and adoption programs. They strive to provide healing for individuals that are troubled, abused or neglected through educational, prevention and developmental programs.

It is through these group homes that Meck is able to serve by taking one evening a month to provide dinner for the children staying there. This affords the room parents a break from the cooking for the night, and allows Meck to show these kids that people in their community care about them.

Please join us on Monday, December 8 from 5 - 7:30 p.m. to participate in this serve day. **Please note: This is a special Christmas serve day and will follow a different format than our typical serve days. You will be contacted with more details after registration.

Crisis Assistance Ministry Serve Day

Crisis Assistance Ministry is the community's emergency room for families facing financial crisis who have nowhere else to turn. The assistance they receive prevents homelessness and loss of utilities. Come be a part of serving on the local mission field in Charlotte!

Join us on Saturday, December 13 from 9 - 11 a.m. helping to serve the working poor in Charlotte as well as meeting other Meck members and attenders!!

Wow – what incredible words. Being a mother is a privilege and a huge responsibility, filled with laughter and tears, triumphs and failures - this is no job for the weak or faint of heart! It's clear from the quote above – Moms make an impact! So what kind of impact are we making on our children? Join together with other Moms for times of encouragement, tips, challenge and interactive dialogue as we discuss topics related to raising our children, marriage and our own spiritual lives.

Class meets every 3rd Tuesday evening from 7-8:30. September - May

Habitat for Humanity Serve Day

Meck serves with Habitat for Humanity in the Charlotte area.  Join us as we work on homes for those that need them in our community!

On Saturday, December 20, we will be serving with Habitat for Humanity in the Charlotte area from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.  For those who have served with Habitat in the past, you know that this is an amazing way to spend a Saturday and to make a difference in the life of a local family.

Registration for these serve days now takes place on the Habitat website. The registration link will redirect you there and you will be able to view this serve day along with all upcoming serve days. The location and task details for the December serve day will be updated as soon as we receive this from Habitat:

Remember to wear comfortable work clothes and closed-toe shoes. It may be helpful to bring some work gloves along as well, if not, Habitat will be able to provide them for you. The minimum age for serving with Habitat is 16.
