Old Testament Overview
Mon, March 9, 2015
7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Campus: North Charlotte

The Old Testament can be kind of intimidating, can't it? There are some crazy battles and rules about not eating bacon and even a story about a guy that was thrown into a lion's den and didn't die because God protected him! There is history and law and poetry and prophecy. In Old Testament Overview, we dig into the story of the Old Testament and answer some of the most common questions that Christians and non-Christians alike have asked. If you've ever wondered if the Old Testament is still relevant, you're going to want to join us for this study.

Instructor: Casey Jordan

5:15 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Campus: Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake, North Charlotte
156 Frazier Loop Statesville, NC 28677

Barium Springs Home for Children is an organization committed to providing a "Safe Home" for children through group homes, therapeutic foster care and adoption programs. They strive to provide healing for individuals that are troubled, abused or neglected through educational, prevention and developmental programs.

It is through these group homes that Meck is able to serve by taking one evening a month to provide dinner for the children staying there. This affords the room parents a break from the cooking for the night, and allows Meck to show these kids that people in their community care about them.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 24 from 5:15 - 7:30 p.m. to participate in this serve day. If this is your first time serving with this organization, you will be contacted by one of our team leaders who will review some of the specifics related to serving with Barium Springs.

New Testament Overview
Mon, April 6, 2015
7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Campus: North Charlotte

The New Testament comes with its own set of questions. Why are there four biographical accounts of the life of Jesus, rather than just one? And do all these letters that were written to people in the early church have anything to do with me? And what in the world is going on in Revelation? In New Testament Overview, we explore these questions and more as we walk through the second half of the Bible.

Instructor: Casey Jordan

Date: Every Tuesday from March 31-April 21

SCAMP 2015
Mon, June 22, 2015 - Fri, June 26, 2015
Campus: North Charlotte
Mecklenburg Community Church

SCAMP is short for summer camp, and it's the best week of summer for REALife high school ministry. All REALife students and anyone in high school is welcome to attend.

This year for SCAMP we are trying something new. We're heading to a camp with over 45 acres packed full with a pool, lake, docks, kayaks, paddle-boards, mountain bikes, paintball, and so much more. Check out what's coming your way this year at SCAMP:

This trip is a student favorite, and each year our camp brings in extremely talented worship artists and guest speakers who engage our students in worship and God's word. All of our students come back saying they've made friendships that have truly impacted their lives. This is an amazing trip.

The dates of the trip are June 22-26. After registration you will receive emails updating you on the necessary information that you need to know. The early bird sign-up cost of the trip is $260 (down $40 from last year!). You must register by January 22 to get this price. After that date the price goes to $290. Payments must be made online, and can be made all at once or in three installments.

Price includes all meals and lodging. Bring any extra money you desire for souvenirs or extra snacks.

***Please note that ALL payments made for this trip are non-refundable after January 22. We commit to the number of spots as each student signs up. So even if your son or daughter can no longer attend, we still have to pay for their spot. If you signed up, but are no longer able to attend please try to find someone who can take your spot for you.

Accompanying us on the trip are our REALife leaders. There will be a leader assigned to each room of students, and all rooms are gender specific.

Please download TWO medical release forms below and turn them in by June 7. These are required for all participants on the trip. The camp form must be notarized before it is turned in.
