The heart of Meck, our mission, is to help spiritual seekers become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The Meck Institute provides opportunities for you to further your knowledge of everything from Christianity to finances with a focus on Biblical truth and spiritual growth.

 Experiencing GodWednesday, Sept 12, 2012 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Campus: North Charlotte When God speaks, how do we recognize His voice and respond in obedience? In the frantic and noisy culture in which we live, how is it possible to hear God's voice? In this workbook study, Henry Blackaby and Richard Blackaby provide instruction in discerning God's voice, identifying ways He speaks, and responding to His revelation of His will. This study will utilize the same inviting tone that made "Experiencing God" so appealing.

 The Study of Paul's EpistlesWednesday, Sept 12, 2012 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Campus: North Charlotte This study will take a look at the New Testament letters written by Paul. The class will also focus on the challenges facing two contemporary churches of their day and what God had too say to them. If you think the cultural and societal pressures the church faces today are unique then think again. Focus will be on Paul's letters to the churches at Rome & Corinth.
We suggest the following resource materials: Max Lucado's Small Group study guides for Romans, I & II Corinthians as well as commentaries by FF Bruce.

 The Kingdom Books - The Amazing CollectionWednesday, Sept 19, 2012 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Campus: North Charlotte The Amazing Collection Kingdom Books Bible Study takes you through the Old Testament historical books from Joshua to 2 Kings. You will learn about the conquering of the Promised Land, the ruling of the judges, and the uniting and the dividing of the kingdom. You will also learn about men and women of great courage resulting from their strong faith in God and obedience to Him. And there are lessons to be learned from some people who struggled in their faith and obedience.
This history of Israel and God’s dealing with His people is not only fascinating, but has real application to our lives today.

 Surrendering the Secret: Healing the Heartbreak of AbortionThursday, Feb 21, 2013 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Campus: North Charlotte 5th Grade Room Many women hide the secret of abortion deep in their hearts, and they are suffering severe consequences. They carry a great burden of shame and failure afraid to reveal their hidden pain, and by doing so are forced to endure the long-lasting effects in isolation. Surrendering the Secret will allow women to release this burden and find freedom through 'redemptive community' while experiencing hope and joy as shame and failure are replaced with beauty.  Unglued- Women's Summer StudyWednesday, June 19, 2013 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Campus: North Charlotte Based on the book by the same name, the Unglued Bible study by Lysa TerKeurst aims to help women make their emotions work for them instead of against them. She does this by helping them understand how to resolve conflict and find peace in their most important relationships, identify what type of reactor they are, how to respond without regrets, and how to gain a sense of calm in circumstances out of your control. This 6 week study will meet at the North Charlotte Campus onWednesday nights from 7-8:30 p.m.Unglued will equip you to:* Know with confidence how to resolve conflict in your important relationships. * Find peace in your most difficult relationships as you learn to be honest but kind when offended. * Identify what type of reactor you are and how to significantly improve your communication. * Respond with no regrets by managing your tendencies to stuff, explode or react somewhere in between. * Gain a deep sense of calm by responding to situations out of your control without acting out of control.
