We know what having "20/20 vision" means: to be able to see clearly. But what if we played with it to mean casting a vision for the year 2020?
Mecklenburg Community Church's bold vision for the next ten years, our "20/20 Vision," was introduced to the church by senior pastor James Emery White in August of 2010. It begins with "The 2020 BHAG" (the one "Big Hairy Audacious Goal") of having 20,000 active members and attenders and ministry in 20 countries by the year 2020. Flowing from this "BHAG" are related goals, such as extending Meck to multiple campuses throughout the city of Charlotte, continuing to build out the master plan for the Browne Road Campus and unleashing the full potential of Meck's thousands of attenders to become difference makers throughout our world.
